While visiting us at the Discovery Museum, we want your experience to be the best it can be! So here are a few tips for your trip:

 

There is no food allowed in the museum, but we are located within walking distance of the Santa Maria Town Center Mall. There are many great places in the mall to get a bite to eat. Also, we have a small grassy area outside, and if you would like to bring a lunch you are more than welcome to have your lunch outside. Once inside the Museum, you may leave and enter again--just make sure to get your hand stamped on your way out the door!

 

At the museum, we have an exhibit called Tide and Seek. Part of our Discovery Cove area, this space is designated specifically for our 3 and under crowd. It is all soft and padded so our little ones can stay safe and enjoy their time with us. Please remember to remove shoes before entering into this space, and please help us enforce the age restrictions for the safety of our smallest visitors. Thanks!

 

If visiting on a Wednesday morning, you will be able to take part in our Preschool Patrol program. Free with admission, this is a special staff-led craft activity. Find out more on our Calendar Page!
